Andy Reid isn't usually one to take any guff but they NEED Owens. They are very thin at WR.

Geez, if he comes to play for the Jags, I'm gunna have to not renew my contract. One of the reasons I like the jags is they pass on these retards. man, I could live large on 15mil..for several years. I would have a hard time spending all that money!

His (and his agent's) argument is that his is the top player in his position (I say he's still behind Randy Moss) but not paid in the top ten (iirc).

Yeah, he's behind Moss..way behind moss. The guy has talent, but the thing is he has attitude too.

Jimmy Smith has talent, but isn't an asshat. Sure, it could be argued he's not even a top 10 receiver in the league (certainly he would be a top 15 or top 20), but he will be the first Jaguar HOF inductee..and isn't he like #5 on the all-time yards or receptions list? *shrug* not a stats guy.

Anyway, Owens is an asshat. I think in this day and age, his mouth outplays his talent which means he might have a hard time finding a team if the Eagles release him.

Jimmy Smith is a great receiver and very underated. He's quietly heading toward the HOF. I hope they find a number two for him. I hate seeing him get all the double coverage. Back to the days of Thunder and Lightning. :)

Their mistake was trading for him in the first place. He's too much of a headache even for a team that needs him.

Especially now that Pinkson is out for the season.

I don't know, I respect Reed more if it is true that he kicked from camp. The Eagles need to trade him, and trade him now.

He made noise about playing for Atlanta a few weeks ago. I'd actually like to see that. The rumor floating around during Origins was the Oakland wanted to trade for him. Heh. No way it'll happen.

Oakland would be a good fit. Heck Washington and Dallas have dumb enough owners that I can see them making a play for him.

I do not see Philly being able to contend this year. They are to depleted at Wide. The NFC really is the dog's dinner this season. There is no strength there.

If he goes to Oakland Kerry Collins will be a fantasy superstud.

The Eagles will not get fair value for Owens in a trade. Everyone in the league knows they need to dump him, and there is no bargaining power. The Eagles have two choices:

1. Let him play and totally sink the chemistry of a fractured team.

2. Let him sit for the season.

Trading him gives him what he wants, and gives the Eagles nothing in fair value.

I'd like to see him start. He's young but he seems like a smart player. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do in the preseason opener.
