That is very awesome. That for a paticular project?

Thanks. :)

This is just a warm-up piece. I couldn't get into the Sundered Skies pieces I'm supposed to be working on, so I just started painting with ArtRage2. Once I found the composition and colors, I pulled it over to Photoshop and added texture and detail.

Not sure it worked though... might do another one of these before I start working.

Sundered Skies is a new setting for Savage Worlds here's a little teaser:

Sundered Skies is a dark fantasy setting in which the earth has been torn apart. The great chunks of planet now hang in the air – floating islands suspended in space. Between these floating islands, flying ships carry adventurers to the remains of ruined civilizations to explore lost ruins in search of spare parts, food, or whatever lost relics they can salvage.

The whole realm of Sundered Skies is infused with an eerie orange/yellow light – "the Glow" – which comes straight down from above at every point and place, and bathes everything on the surface of the islands in bright daylight – all the time. In Sundered Skies, it is always high noon! Only the undersides are cast into darkness. Strangely, though, sentient humanoid creatures cast no shadow. Structures, trees, and even islands cast shadows as usual, but humans, dwarves, and members of other races do not.

That's a warm-up piece?

I've gotta come up with something for that one once Best Little Hellhouse is done... alhough it certainly reminds me of the beginning of Seasons of the Abyss...

GREAT image, Ace! :)

Thanks, Phil. It reminded me of Seasons of the Abyss too. I can't wait to get started on that one!

Me neither.

Want... operating... capitol... now... ;)

I just wanna know - have you always had an artist in there, screaming to get out, or did you just take this up the way Tiffany just took up cake decorating (and now has people encouraging her to open her own bakery)?

Nice "warm up."

Sheesh.

;-)

I grew up reading comics, so I've always had a secret desire to be an artist. It took me quite a few years to figure out that I was actually good at it. I guess all those hours sitting in Jason's cubicle paid off. ;)

Very pretty - I can feel the speed and the salt spray...

I always enjoy it when you post your art.

Thank you very much. I'll keep at it. :)

Thanks. I figured this one was right up your alley. :)

This was originally an abstract... just jump-starting the brain, but the tidy-bowl cleaner blue got me thinking of being underway. That's the thing I miss the most about the Navy, days (and nights!) on the open sea.
