You scored as Storyteller. The Storyteller is in it for the plot: the sense of mystery and the fun of participating in a narrative that has the satisfying arc of a good book or movie. He enjoys interacting with well-defined NPCs, even preferring antagonists who have genuine motivations and personality to mere monsters. To the Storyteller, the greatest reward of the game is participating in a compelling story with interesting and unpredictable plot threads, in which his actions and those of his fellow characters determine the resolution.

With apologies to Robin Laws.

Same for me, though my breakdown was 95% Storyteller, 90% Character Player, and then down to 60% for Casual Gamer.
Gee, go figure that the writers get Storyteller. :)

Great minds and all that. :)

Yeah, I'm defiantely the stroyteller type as well.

That's probably a good thing, as 9 times in 10 (if not more) I'm the GM.

Me too. I'm almost always the GM.

I got almost the same, except that "tactician" and "Casual Gamer" were switched and my lowest category was "Power Gamer."

Brainstorming on The Great Below. Should have you an outline by the end of the week. Can I get my PDF of Rippers? I kinda want to jump on that one next - got an idea or two for it.

Oh, and Nathan and I spoke yesterday. He plans to get in touch with you soon.

More proof that we need to game together. :)

Sent you Rippers, looking forward to reading your outline for The Great Below. Are you still putting together a handful of other pitches as well?

Cool. I'll let neenerpants know Nathan's going to be in touch.

Yep. Started reading Rippers as soon as I got it. That may be my next project - possibly even the next game I run. It looks seriously fun!

Maybe it's time to try playing online... :)

How'd you like the Best Little Hellhouse art?

Ha, check me out breaking the trend and not being a Storyteller... Three way tie-breaker, though, so it could've been very different... (blanket statements saying that NOTHING compares to a deepening mystery were never going to get me)

You scored as Casual Gamer. To the Casual Gamer, a roleplaying session is first and foremost a social activity enjoyed with oneâ??s friends. The Casual Gamer enjoys gaming well enough, but participates mostly because thatâ??s what his friends do. Heâ??s usually the one least into the game rules, campaign events, or even his own character, and may even get distracted during the sessionâ??but that doesnâ??t mean he isnâ??t having fun. For the Casual Gamer, the greatest reward of the game is just hanging out and having fun with friends.
